The process relies on the water-soluble adhesive. When submerged in water, the adhesive dissolves, releasing the design (with its protective carrier film) from the backing paper. The loose design can then be slid ("slide") onto the target object, positioned, and smoothed out. Once dry, the carrier film becomes a permanent, transparent layer protecting the design.

Step-by-Step Application Process
Step 1: Preparation
Clean the target surface thoroughly (e.g., plastic, metal, ceramic, painted wood).
Have a bowl of lukewarm water, soft tweezers, a sponge or squeegee, and paper towels ready.
Step 2: Choose Your Design
Think about what kind of picture or design you want to turn into a decal.

Step 3: Print the Decal
Create your designs/artworks on the computer. The printer will magically transfer your design onto the special paper, making it look like a real decal!
Step 4: Cut Out the Decal
Cut out the decal close to the design's edges.
Step 5: Soak the Decal
Submerge the cut decal in water for 20-60 seconds, or as instructed.
You'll see the decal begin to curl and then flatten—this indicates the adhesive is activated.
Step6: Sliding & Positioning
Remove the decal from the water. Gently slide the design off the backing paper onto the surface. The decal is very fragile and slippery at this stage.
Carefully position it using your fingers or tweezers.
Step7: Applying
Once in position, gently blot excess water with a paper towel.
Using a soft sponge, squeegee, or cotton swab, start from the center and gently push outwards to remove air bubbles and water trapped underneath. This ensures full adhesion.
Step8:Drying & Sealing
Let the decal dry completely (usually several hours).
For durability, especially on items that will be handled (like model kits, mugs, or helmets), it is highly recommended to seal the decal with a clear topcoat spray or brush-on varnish. This protects it from scratches, moisture, and wear.
